Player Concern Upgrade

So a few weeks ago my player Andy Carrolls' concern was upgraded just after he got injured. He has just been injured for 5 weeks but his concern has gone up again due to a lack of matches. He wasnt playing because he was injured! Can someone please explain why this is the case?
