Soccer Manager believes that most of the answers to your questions are covered within our Help.

However, if you cannot find the answer to your question then you can post it or find support from experienced Soccer Manager members within our Answer Centre.

Anyone can post or search for a question or answer within the Answer Centre and anyone will be able to reply to a question.

Answer

go to tactics to set the first team. There you can use several fortmations from the "Pre-Match Instructions". Then you go to "Match Day Instructions" where you select your first squad players and the substitutes. Select a player and move him in the position you want or drop the player on a shirt.

Then, if you want to make changes during the game, you need to select the "In-Game Instructions", where you can make substitutes(maximum 3 per game) or/and change formation.
