Soccer Manager believes that most of the answers to your questions are covered within our Help.

Morale changes depending on the player's fitness, form and game time. Also by providing players with new contracts their morale will get better. Don't worry the morale will get better. Try giving him a new contract. These things are not too much in our control and is pretty tough to understand. I have seen players who aren't playing and yet their morale is 90%.
