Soccer Manager believes that most of the answers to your questions are covered within our Help.

There will be numerous reasons why you might wish to arrange a friendly, ranging from trying out new tactics to giving fringe squad players a run out. In friendly games suspended and injured players can play, a player's condition is not reduced, players cannot get injured, yellow and red cards are not recorded, and a player will start the match with their current fitness.
