Soccer Manager believes that most of the answers to your questions are covered within our Help.

Well SM have certain windows where a player is reviewed to see if they are happy and take into account a number of things, your player must still not be happy that he has played so less through the season, however continue to play him & it should go.

If I was you, I would pay a fee of around £2-3m to eliminate all of his concerns, the downside is you must also pay double in wages but it reduces the risk of losing the player. You can do this by clicking "actions" in the player profile screen and then "address concerns".
