Soccer Manager believes that most of the answers to your questions are covered within our Help.

If you signed up for SM before 14 January 2010, then the maximum number of squads you can manage is 3. If you signed up after this date, then the maximum number of squads you can manage is 2.

You could also add club slots by purchasing a Custom Game World or adding club slots via the SM Shop.
