Soccer Manager believes that most of the answers to your questions are covered within our Help.

The only way to control it is to not put players in your starting lineup that have a low condition before a game. If you do so, the player's condition will only go lower and lower (i.e. the player needs to rest).

Otherwise, the player's condition will automatically increase by 5%-10% each day of rest.
