how do players become free agents

i noticed that some players from unmanged teams have became free agents and was just wondering how they become available and the best way to find them

    Players become free agents in several ways: they can be added to the database without a club, they can be released from a squad, or they can be released from their real-life squad and if they are on an umanaged or external squad within SM, they will become free agents, but not if they are on a managed club.

    You can find free agents via the search tool, by typing in a player's name, or looking within the 'New Players' section (typically players inserted into the database go in as free agents).

    If you are looking for a full list of free agents, it does not exist.
