How do you know if you have been banned from posting on the forum?

Hi, i recently posted a question asking why SM won't let me post on the forum, but unfortunately noone has given me an answer. SO i was just wondering if there is a way to check if you have been banned e.g. they sent you an email, your profile explains you banned etc. If so, would there be a way to overcome the ban. Thank you :)
