Additional Details
I want to add another player, josh carson, to the database, however , it does not seem possible even though he has played over 600minutes, closer to 700, of 1st team football. When i try to add him i am informed that he has not played enough minutes to be added, yet there are loads of players from Man U etc... in the game without ever playing a real 1st team game.
The inconsistency in this respect is laughable and ought to be made clear exactly why players are added.
"at the discretion" of SM is just pathetic...
You have answered your own question, it is discretionary. It is SM's game so they have every right to apply discretion.
The discretion basically boils down to profile. A player at a high profile club will be more widely sought after by users of the game than a player with hundreds of minutes in a minor league.
What you are encountering though is an automated message. You should submit a bug ticket politely pointing out that you are trying to submit his details but are receiving a message saying he has played insufficient games, when this is incorrect.
If you make comments such as the ones you have here, about being "laughable" and "pathetic" you can expect SM to disregard your ticket as they don't deserve this.
