Game World Closing while the owner still owns it

Additional Details

I am currently owning the game world ID:49913. I log in to found out that it is going to close down at the end of the season.

I check the game world status, owner stated my name.
I check "My Game Worlds", the game world is still listed in there.
There are 7 teams competing at the moment.

Now may I know why is it closing??

    I can't answer your question but I have the same problem. I was offered to by this Game World recently as I was the last remaining manager so I bought it as I have a strong squad. I'm not sure if it some sort of glitch but SM needs to sort it. We paid for the Game World, why can't we keep them?
