Would a game referee influence the out come of the match?

Additional Details

I see in the match previews the nationality and name of the referee is mentioned? Are those real life refs? And do they have any attributes? For instance card happy ref, or soft calling ref, nationality favoring ref and so on...

    I don't think the above mentioned attributes regarding a ref can lead to the outcome of a match. Its not a real life game or ref where such things can happen. I'm not sure if the ref are real-life people cause their nationality and names I have never heard except in the case of English refs coz I follow the premier league but I'm sure that refs can't influence games.
