How come you get so little money for winning the top league or getting a promotion?

Additional Details

got promoted from Division 2 to Division 1 and only got little over 3 million and then won Division 1 a few seasons later and still only got little over 3 million. Why is the reward so low?

    Maybe coz the league size is small or the standard of teams in it is low. I have never myself received over 7-8m. That is just how it is.
