Why are my team doing worse with new high rated signings?

I dont plan to play for that long but so I have bought alot of old but very good players such as xavi, Nesta Abidal etc and with my 8 new signings I seem to be doing worse, does it take time for squad to adapt, should i use different tactics for older players any suggested. My starting XI average rating 92 average age 31

    Your tactics maybe wrong or playing players out of position. Just having good players doesn't guarantee that you will win all.
