stewart stanley

Managers in my league seem to be hoarding the best players and as a result the league is becoming pointless to play, there is no balance

Additional Details

It seems ridiculous that the players in these squads will just sit there on the bench and never get a game when if they got annoyed and were either forced into being played or they had an automatic transfer request for a certain amount of money it would make the game worlds much better? any thoughts on this?

    The same thing is happening in my game world and I think it's ridiculous that they are able to get away with it. The worst thing about it is that these teams make most of their players unavailable too so nobody else has a chance of bidding for them. Even if they do become unhappy with not being played they don't become unhappy quick enough as to reflect what would happen in real life football.

    Well, the rules already account for those situations, hence players now feel annoyed if they do not play. If the annoyance level increases the manager will be forced to sell the player. Of course this is a bit relative but such has been accounted for. A good way to counter it though would be to think ahead of time and buy players for the future. Though it is not an immediate solution as you probably wished to play with today's stars, you can end up having a good team in a couple of seasons.

    A team's best players will develope concerns over a period of time if they are not played and will demand to leave. There are other types of concerns too.

    Once they are transfer listed by their own request the highest bid will be accepted automatically.

    Also, as players ratings are constantly reviewed, it should literally be possible for everyone to have all the players forever. It is possible to build a great side with a bit of effort in any league. There are loads of player tips on the forum if you don't have time to "scout" out players yourself.

    Plus, the tactics you choose are important which should always make it possible to compete against higher rated teams.

    Same thing seems to be happening in my game world and smfa is not doing anything about it. The best thing i suggest is to write smfa through the suggestion area to air your idea and claim.
