like do you get gate receipts, merchandise or sponsors, or is that only available for home games?

    No, you do not get revenue from these sources in away games. You only receive TV Revenue.

    This is clearly shown within the Finances section of your respective clubs. You can access that by clicking on your club name in the left-hand sidebar and then on Finances. You will see "£0"s in the columns you mentioned for away games.
