this is my soccermanager squad, who do you think should be my starting eleven and whats the best formation and tactics to use?

    i think rene adler,alex song,demba ba and isaac cuenca should get a place in your first 11.the best formation which works for anyone is 3-5-2,with the midfielder in the defensive half making a run back to to your defence.

    Have to agree with the previous answer. That's not a very strong squad. Maybe you don't have lots of funds to buy better players, so you will have to make do with what you have. For Div 2, this squad is not bad, but if you are in Div 1 you might struggle to get results. However to answer your question, a 4-4-1-1 or a 4-2-3-1 since your better players will form your spine, that is you GK, CB, CM/CDM and, Fwd/CF. The starting 11 I would choose would be

    Adler
    Zapata Koscielny Jagielka Gibbs
    Milner Song
    Valbuena Dempsey/Diaby Dempsey/Ayew
    Gyan

    Try to get in better players, a CM playmaker (Sahin, Pirlo, Alonso, Aquilani, Montolivo, Schweinsteiger, or similar type of player). Most of them are expensive so try to negotiate or go for Pirlo as he is the oldest and will be the cheapest. Play him next to Song. Then get a good CB of 90+ and a good CF of 90+.

    Also play around with formations by arranging friendlies, and see which formations and tactics works best for your team.

    I have to admit that this is a pretty poor squad. The squads that I manage have far more quality and better attack and defense minded players. I generally play a attacking 4-3-3 formation, the Barcelona style. It suits me and my creative and skilled players. Your team probably lacks enough creative players to play a 4-3-3. You should try a 4-4-2 or a 4-2-3-1. You have got decent CM, defensive players. Your team lacks a good genuine goal threat and a playmaker. If I were in your shoes then I would quit this club ASAP. You will easily find much better teams with far more better players and squads. Try searching for better teams.
