is it because he is a gold manager and soccermanager favour his team over mine? we are both in division 1.
i personally feel there should be a cap on how many players your allowed at one club i have 1 manager with over 200 players and bought all the young players coming into the game its not right

How can you both have bid at the exact same time? I would assume he must have bid first.
There must have been something differentiating between the offers.
SM don't favour certain clubs/managers with deals - it is run by an automated system.

Or maybe it was because he overbid you, i'm not quite sure, of you both had the same offer it might be randomly picked, but i am again not sure.
