at that link it says that if we scout players that are not already in the league we can notify sm support and when the come into the database we will have first choice? my questions are, is it possible to do this? and how would you go about doing this?(on a sidenote I understand this was published in 2008, and i also understand that you can submit new players as well)

    You can learn how to submit new players by clicking on the 'Update Player' link to the left of this screen. Also, yes, that blog is outdated. You do not get first crack at a player simply because you requested him to be added.
