No one can say its because hes in a "weak" league because Portugal always has 2-3 teams in the champions league every season. He is quite obviously a quality player and I along with many other football fans believe he should of gone up to 92 especially when you look at current strikers on the game rated 92 or above like lisandro lopez (only ever played in portugal and france and scored nowhere near 38 goals yet is rating 92) and Di natale (nowhere near the quality of Falcao. please explain
i can see where your coming from but never the less Falcao has been prolific whilst being at porto who have won the CL twice in the last 20 odd years and theres no doubt he is one of europes top strikers - and now ive noticed cavani of napoli hasnt changed either

This question is more appropriate for the forum then the Answer Centre.
Of course, the Portuguese league review is not necessarily over yet. My opinion is this:
1) SM will generally rate leagues based upon things like UEFA Co-efficients. Portugal are high in the co-effs but this is due to success in the Europa League which is widely perceived to be the CL's weaker cousin, and it gives a slightly distorted view of the strength of the league.
2) Italy and France are generally perceived to be stronger leagues so the players in these leagues will generally get higher ratings than Portugal. Most of Falcao's goals this season are against opponents who are not of the same calibre as the teams that Di Natale and Lisandro are playing.
3) If Falcao was being prolific in the CL or for his country his chance of a higher rating would be strengthened.
These are just my own opinions of course, not necessarily SM's.
