SMFA Cups- Silly Prize Money?

I won the SMFA shield last season, and I only managed one match, due to the match taking place within my gold management free trial. This was the final, which I won 4-2. Rather suprisingly, I got 9m prize money for winning a cup theat mostly the assistant manager controls (unless you're a gold manager), and the league winner (one of my mates) got just 5m for winning the league, and he can manage every game in the league of course! Explain that! Doesn't make sense, does it?
