Hi there, I have found this to be the case for a long time now. Why does it not make much of a difference if you save up and buy a team of 93 rating plus, and when faced against for example unmanaged teams of ratings of 88 you still have as much chance of losing as you do winning. This has happened to me personally for a long time, and i believe it is definitely the case. It's like comparing Barcelona to say Middlesborough in the championship. Why does it happen? Thanks.
It's all about your strategy and how you decide what you want your players to do and that will make your players get a good form so they will play better in the future.
So really it doesn't make a big difference but it does make a bit of one.
I hope I answered your question. :)
