I have a few good young players, i was wondering how the player ratings and age difference changes? Is age based on real life or do they get older each season? also how do my young players get better?
it is all based on real life, the birthdays are correct, every 4-5 months the leagues of real life get reviewed, the player changes are recorded, for instance, Jack wilshire was r8ted 85, now he is r8ted 89.

Though its not a very accurate database, they do base it off real life, but the player ratings are not all accurate. They have a really large bias for african players and north american are extremly underated, for example, eto is rated higher than howard nnear is rated higher than campbell, players from the senegal nt have the same rating as players frpm the costa rican nt. Its a very badly made ranking system that depends single handedly on what league you play in.
