Loaned Player? How do i know?

I just started as Chelsea. In my sqaud i have Courtois who in real life is at Atletico. It does say the same in his profile but why am i able to select him in squad? Is he loaned out or not?

sometimes the players in the gameworld that are old are unrealistic. You can put him in the loan list. If Atetico is managed the manager will not probably loan Courtois but if Atletico is unmanaged they will loan him
