I would like to know how SM justify penalty shoot outs. why do we not have control over penalties?

I have just drawn a semi final of a cup game, to a lets say, lesser opposition, and lost 4-2 on penalties. But yet my team has only lost three games in 21 league apperances. I have to say, find it slightly unrealistic.
Whilst i'm having a moan, i understand you want to make money on Gold Memberships, but some of the champions league results, for my team have been a farce! It is because of this, that i wont become a Gold Member. Please could you take my rant into consideration, for the good of SM.
I love the game and will continue to do so, so long as these strange occurances are possibly remedied.

    If you have a suggestion you should submit this via SM Suggestions.

    To be honest though I am not sure what practical improvements you are wanting so you might want to elaborate if you contact them. "Improve the match engine" and "improve penalty shoot-outs" is easily said and has been suggested many times - how to do this is less often said.
