if i put players in the youth squad, what happens to them? Will their morale go down if they don't get games?
Putting a player onto your youth team has no affect whatsoever on the player; therefore, they are treated the same as senior squad players. Placing players between the Senior/Youth squad just allows you to organize your squad better.
The answer to your question is yes, but keep in mind that players with a low rating relative to your other players will usually not have their morale lowered from not playing.
A good example would be having Alexandre Pato on your youth squad (rated 92) compared to having Fabio Borini (rated 77). Pato will certainly have his morale lowered if he does not play any games, but Borini won't mind.
