My GM Expires cuz I was in University can SM set back my old teams cuz I renewed GM

I was a Gold Manager but I was in university for exams so I can't renew the GM when I opened today SM I saw that i wasn't anymore GM and I would ask if SM will set back my old teams because as i said I renewed GM
