one of my players has had a posiotn change, from AM/Fwd to AM/WING now i cant play him as a forward. why?

Additional Details

this player predominately plays as an striker or second striker and sometimes as an attacking midfielder in real life.why has this change been made and who is responsible? can this be corrected/reversed??
