German championship 2982 closing at the end of the season

Additional Details

I created a standard German championship and i'm part way through my second season and it says the game world is closing permanently at the end of the season. Why is this ? It cost me money to create the league and it seems harsh ! Will I get a refund for the league ?

There is only me managing in it as other players have come and left.

    I think its because SM thinks you might have made it just so you could set yourself to win.
    Or its not popular enough.
