What manager points do i lose if i quit a club?

With my arsenal team 4 & a half years but game world gone to the dogs! When i click the x to quit my club it says that i'll lose accumulated points, what does this mean??

    hey shane,

    the points you lose are the points that make up the 'best managers ranking' within the game world. You won't lose points on your experience level.
